The Result……..

Quick note: Please read previous blog post ‘Cloudberries and Championships’ first.

24 hours on from my first (and quite probably last) performance in the Annual District Skolekorps Championship I am proud to announce that Strommen og Skjetten Skolekorps received 9th place (the fact that there were only 9 bands doesn’t really matter). I write that first sentence with absoloutely no sarcasm intended. I’m incredibly proud to say that I was a part of the band that competed in Division 1 for the first time and I’m proud of how we played after rehearsing tirelessly for weeks. 

This was the ‘traditional’ elevator selfie that they take every year.

The experience was actually really cool. I got to see other bands and their different uniforms (the uniforms for korps are really fancy) and the thrill/ nerves of performing was still the same.

Now we are straight into the marching season!
